Hawaiian Cultural Center

Annie went on a field trip to the Hawaiian Cultural Center in Midvale.  It was a really fun place, so we went back as a family to their Ohana festival. We had a lot of fun. The people in charge of it were really friendly and gave the kids lots of attention.  We got to eat some chicken and rice (yummy) and poi (not yummy). It was cool to see how they pound the poi, though.

Gracie was terrified of this tiki, and Annie was in a bad mood and refused to pose for a picture.

There were a bunch of kids games set up.  They got to do fishing and bowling and a ring toss.

Making their own planters out of 2-liter bottles.

Making cupcakes that look like fish. Well, they are supposed to look like fish.

We got to listen to live music and meet some very nice people.  I think we'll go back next year.
