March of Dimes Walk for Babies

My friend Emalee was looking for people to do the March of Dimes walk with her, so I went.  It was a 3-mile walk around Layton park. March of Dimes raises money for research into premature birth and birth defects.

Stacie, Emalee, and me.  I met both of them through babyloss groups.  Stacie lost her daughter, Nevaeh, and Emalee lost her son, Kenner. The purple necklaces are the official March of Dimes color.  The white are for angel babies.  They also had blue ones for special needs kids.

There were a bunch of activities for the kids.  Gracie, of course, wanted nothing to do with most of them. :)

Check out this awesome face painting.  No joke - the lady who did this for Annie was legally blind.  She had to have Aaron describe the picture Annie picked.  Amazing.

My friend Julie took this picture.  Aaron had to climb up and rescue Gracie who insisted she wanted to go down the slide, and then sat and cried at the top until he came up.

Ethan was at a birthday party, so he missed out on the fun. :)

Annie started doing awesome spins and flips.

Most people were busy doing the walk, so the girls pretty much had the huge slide to themselves.
Gracie crying at the top of the slide.

Emalee's cousin, Carrie, came out to walk with us.  She and I walked the last 2 miles together when the rest of our team dropped out. :)
