Annie's State Fair Fieldwork

Annie and I got to go to the State Fair twice this year, since she went for fieldwork with her class, too.  There were a bunch of parent volunteers, so I only ended up with Annie and one other kid, Wade, in my group, which was great. We also got to see a few things that we somehow missed when we went as a family, like the physics games tent.

Annie and Wade's work at the fair was on grains, so we spent a lot of time in this area, as well with the cakes and cookies.

Just for the record, in case you were wondering, kangaroos freak me out.  They look like mutant animals, like giant rat/rabbit hybrids hopping across Australia. We missed these when we went as a family. Weird animals.

Most of Annie's class with her teacher, Miss W.

At the Wild West Fun Park.  We missed this as a family, too.  The kangaroos, the physics area, and this Wild West area were all right together, and we just didn't get back there.
